Wairarapa Wandering

I enjoyed pretty much everything. The accommodation was superb - especially liked BrakenRidge, just beautiful. Food was excellent throughout - including some amazing lunches at gardens. The dinners at Bracken Ridge were as good as one could get anywhere. The group was harmonious and we had a lot of fun. The itinerary was excellent and we saw so many interesting and beautiful places. I especially loved the Wairarapa and it was wonderful to have three nights there. Thoroughly enjoyed climbing up to the lighthouse. It was good to have choices in Wellington. I did enjoy Matt's commentary which was interesting and pertinent and not too much. Also his quizzes were fun on long stretches. I thought Stonehenge and the talk we had there were very interesting indeed - reawakened my interest in Astronomy and the ancient cultures. The gondola ride was a great finale.

Bridge to Nowhere & Forgotten Worlds

This was my second trip with MoaTours, love our trips! It was a lovely walk to The Bridge to Nowhere, the bush was beautiful. Driving up to the gannets at Cape Kidnappers was great and Lauren's Lavender Farm was gorgeous. The surprise was the museum and gallery at Whanganui, far more interesting than I had anticipated. Thank you for a great trip and organising the interesting itinerary.

Early Explorers from Queen Charlotte Sound to Akaroa

This Early Explorers tour has been a very important part of my experience as New Zealander; to visit Meretoto/Ship Cove brought home to me the significance of my past - as a Pakeha New Zealander and as a person who lives in a bicultural Aotearoa, where Maori prepared the way. This tour was unique and to travel to these places that one normally doesn't get to was a privilege and great experience.
Thank you for the vision in creating this tour.

I had a thoroughly enjoyable tour with Matt, an extremely good guide with in depth knowledge, and he made the tour a really great experience, he was a great guide, very informative with lots of facts and an intimate knowledge of the areas we went to. Plus he was extremely considerate of people with mobility issues, and very helpful. Thanks, Diane.

I really enjoyed this tour not only because of the gardens visited and the high standard of accommodation and food provided but because of the smaller group. We covered a lot of activities but it was always relaxed and never felt as though we had to watch the time or were rushed like I have experienced on bigger oversea tours at times. I found our guide Dianne very likeable and knowledgeable and she went the extra mile to make tour enjoyable. Everyone In group seemed happy and mixed well.

Loved being in a small group - we all got to know each other. Also loved staying 2 nights at places. Would definitely travel with you again as every detail taken care of. I found the days very full days and wouldn't manage a longer organized tour but on a short tour you want to get in as much as possible and make the most of each day so all good. Dianne was a great tour guide. Great personality and ensured we had fun. Puts 100% into her role.

Canterbury Springtime Gardens

I really had a great time. The gardens were amazing and the hosts were so welcoming. I enjoyed the company of the other travelers, and made some new friends. Chris was a great tour guide. He talked about what we were seeing as we travelled, and was very knowledgeable. He didn't talk too much, which some guides can do. He really cared for the needs of the group and looked after those who were less able physically. At the gardens we visited the hosts were very accommodating, and really seemed pleased to have us there.

Moa Tours are excellent value for money. It makes it easy when we are collected from and returned to home. I appreciate the help with bags. We saw many attractions that we were previously unaware of. Everything was really easy and efficient and our guide Andre was excellent.

I enjoyed every minute of this tour and learned so much about our history. I loved being in St Mary's church in Tikitiki and learning the significance of the Māori colours of red, white and black for the first time. I appreciated our guide's knowledge and that he had studied the history and culture and was able to pass this on to us. He did everything possible to keep every person looked after.
