What we love most of all about running tours all over New Zealand are the amazing people we meet, real passionate Kiwis doing amazing work in some of the most stunning corners of the country.
Today we’d like to introduce you to a few of our mates from around the South Island, great people doing great work.
When you support MoaTours, you’re supporting all of these hard working Kiwi owned businesses too! From all of us, thank you.
Ray & Geoff from Underworld Adventures
Here are our friends from Charleston on the West Coast, now we bet a whole lot of you North Islanders don’t even know where that is! (It’s between the Punakaiki Pancake Rocks and Westport on the West Coast)
When we’re staying on the Coast several of our tours drop in and say hi to Ray, Geoff and the team before heading off up the valley on their Nile River rainforest train or even a bit further into the amazing glowworm caves.
As Geoff says in the video, certainly the best on this planet at least!

Swade & Paula from Okarito Boat Tours
When you turn off the main West Coast Road to visit Okarito you know you’re going somewhere special so it’s no surprise that there are some solid gold people living at the end of that road.
Swade & Paula have lived in Okarito for 15 years now and run guided wildlife tours out on Okarito Lagoon. To make it even more special, they also host our groups for lunch in the historic Donovan’s store and a short historic walk around the village.

Ian & Di from Akaunui Homestead & Garden
MoaTours guest have been dropping in on Ian & Di for lunch at their Canterbury homestead for 20 years now, we’ve even been through on Christmas Day and met the entire family. Di wouldn’t have it any other way!
It’s people and places like this which really make our tours special, Akaunui is a special place and the big buses can’t even make it in the driveway.
The hardest thing about visiting Akaunui is getting everyone to leave.

Jane & Barb from Provisions Cafe in Arrowtown
Say hi to some more of our old friends, meet Jane and Barb from Provisions in Arrowtown who show us around their historic cottage and tempt us with some of their fresh fare.
Situated in historic Roman’s cottage right on the main street, our guests love stopping in for lunch on our way through Arrowtown on South Island tours.
